Today, I hit snooze on my clock one two many times and missed my cycle class. I was really looking forward to the class but I missed it.

My workout today started off with a 2 mile tempo pace run on the treadmill and it was quickly followed by circuit training with jumping rope in between different sets. I spent 20 to 30 minutes rotating between the different exercises. I also did 100 ball crunches and the abdominal machines I did the two different one 3 sets of 15.

I had an awesome day yesterday, stayed with in my plan eat only foods that I wanted and log everything down in my phone. I did notice that some of the water weight is dropping off so hopefully by tomorrow I will be back to my average normal weight again.

A potluck at work I am bringing the salad. My plan is to only eat the salad and veggies and maybe for lunch eat a cup of soup. Now that I am back on a downward trend I need to stay focus and just say no to potlucks and free food.

I hope to report good news tomorrow! I have to stay strong over the weekend. Yes I can and yes I will!

One more day until the weekend, but today I am holding strong. I am going to stick to the plan and log all food and stay focus.

I have been doing some soul searching and trying to figure out why I am trying to sabotage my progress. I have been the same weight since March 2007.

I just feel like sometimes that I am doing everything myself and get so frustrated and I think that is when I decide to eat the bad foods. My journaling has been horrible this last couple of months and after this is a new year I should be getting better, its seems when I pms that I definitely over indulge in the stuff that I have giving up. Sometimes don't want it even just eat it because it is there and around.

Now that I recognize what I am doing I am definitely going to correct the issues so it won't become later problems. I am finally happy with myself as far as my weight after having my girls that I need to just go back to the new found habits that I love and continue to make the right decision.

My workouts have continue even gotten even stronger. No matter what I get up at least five days a week and do some type of workout before going to work. This habit that I am proud of and definitely haven't seen any changes with it, I always feel so good after I had run and workout with weights how would I ever even think about put the poison back in my body.

As a promise to myself here on this day February 26, 2009, I will be back in control and not let my environment dictate what I put in my body! This is a promise in writing. My own signed contract.

Today, I am pmsing so bad. I see why I haven't had a great week. I need to recognized the triggers and hold strong.

I did 4 miles on the treadmill. Speed ranged from 6.7 to 7.5 every 3 minutes. I did that routine for a total of 30 minutes. My plan was to go to the stair master for 15 minutes but both machines were taken so I then jumped back on the treadmill at 15.0 incline at 3.5 speed. I did this for 10 minutes and after the time was up still no stair master available so I completed my workout with a 5.5 incline at a 5.5 speed for 5 minutes.

Plan for the week is to definitely take in more cardio. Monday (7 miles), Tuesday (3.5 miles), Thursday (5.0 miles) & Saturday (6.0 miles) will be running days. A 60 minute cycle class will be done on Friday. I will also do my Group power on Wednesday & Possibly a pm class to get my double dose of weights in for the week. I need to incorporate the food portions and maintain control as I am seeing a little problem in the evenings with staying focus and on track.

Today I had an amazing workout. I ditched my group power class this morning because I didn't get any cardio in Friday through Sunday. So today was my cardio make-up day. The cardio of choice was to run on the treadmill for about 60 minutes at least 50 minutes I ran at 6.7 speeds which is equivalent to 9 minute miles and every now and then I push the treadmill up to 7.0. I felt so great being able to accomplish this today.

I completed my cool down on the treadmill and went immediately to free weights. Workout consisted of biceps, triceps, squats, lunges, calve raises and shoulder raises. This evening I will have to follow up with about 30 minutes of core exercises.

Goal today is to stay on point with food take in. This weekend, I ate so many things that I should have such as girls scout cookies, lots of cheeses and chips. I don't know what it was but I gave in every temptation instead of making better choices. This week I will do better and use all my tools that I have available for me.

Yes it is Friday, definitely a lazy day for me. Instead of getting out of bed and going to my spin class. I decided to do some stuff around the house. I messed around with some free weights but not enough to break a sweat. I will try to jump some rope a little later or something to involve a little more cardio.

I am hoping for a great productive weekend. I hope to stay on track with my food as I can get a little weekend and give in at this time. I plan to get an outdoor run sometime this weekend. Goal is to shoot for at least a six miles to be on track with the half training.

Today I am feeling better about everything. I have made it my goal to journal every single day log and weigh everything as I did in the past. I am so close to reaching my goal that I just have to do this.

Got up today despite the clock not going off and made it in time for my group power class missed the warm-up but decided to change weights on the chest and back track. I am really feeling that subtle change. I hope I can do more if I try to keep the same weight. Tonight I will try to get an easy 3 mile run while my daughter is at her girl scouts meeting.

It is really starting to sink in that my husband will once again be deployed for at least a year. It sucks, I have to get use to doing everything all by self again with the three girls. I guess I did it before so I know that I can do it again.

Focus and consistency is the key. Need to log on for support and continue to run with local running groups. I do really bad over the weekends I don't know what it is but I just need to push through it.

I feel so good right now. I did have a tempo run which was a warm up at 6.0 and eased into a 6.7 speed did that for 40 minutes and cool back down at 6.0. Every time I run I feel like I am on top of the world.

What I notice yesterday that my tracking is been not 100%. I seem to start off journaling during breakfast first snack and maybe lunch but don't write much at dinner time. This week I am going to change that and be a little more consisted. I need to make that promise to myself. So far all my food eaten has been posted. Just need to do the same at night. I found a great program that works with iPhone so it should definitely be easier to log all my food into the program as it is really user friendly.

Yes I am on my way once again as of today I have 5-6 pounds to lose to hit my goal.

The weekend is over and I didn't do as well on food this weekend but I did manage to go out and run to offset my bad choices, hopefully this week will be better. One of the most important goals that I have not been consistent at is journaling all food down. If I am going to be successfully, I know that this is the key for me so I need to get to it. I am so close about 8 pounds away from my final goal and I know that I can do this.

Here is the workout plan for the week:

Monday – 60 minutes of Group power maybe a 2 mile pm run

Tuesday – 45-60 minute run on the treadmill incline and hills

Wednesday – 60 minutes of Group power 2 mile run. 1 mile before and after class tempo run

Thursday – 45-60 minute easy run

Friday – 60 minutes of Group ride

Saturday or Sunday – 6 mile outside run.

Today, alarm clock didn't go off and I woke up so late. I didn't get to the gym until about 6:15 and since I couldn't do my schedule 5 mile run. I decide to an up tempo run for at least 30 minutes on the first available treadmill. My run did turn out to bean up tempo run started my warm-up at 6.0 for 1 minute to advance to the up tempo run at 6.5 for 30 minutes with a cool down of 1 minute at 6.0 speed. The run felt great didn't feel tired at all next up tempo run I will go at 6.7-6.8 and go for a solid 30 minutes.

My eating has been pretty good. This morning, I ate my 6 eggs whites with mushrooms and spinach with a banana and a green tea latte from Starbucks. That pretty much kept me satisfied until lunch time. I will experiment at home to see if I can make a green tea latte it was pretty good and it beats coffee as well as gave me a serving of milk.

Eugene half marathon training begins

The Eugene half marathon is on May 3, 2009. This half I have a goal to make. I would love to complete this half at 1:55 minutes. I am definitely going to shoot for it. I know I can do it as my last time was 2:01:01 and I had some difficulty which cause that time.

This is week one of my half marathon training. I printed out my schedule from runner world and one from hidgon to help me stay on track. The runner world training schedule has running three days of the week which I like a lot. I can still have time to do other stuff like Group power, group ride etc.

This week I will eat like a champion for sure.

Today, I ran 3.1 miles on the treadmill. I had to skip my group power class because my oldest daughter had an ortho appointment. I will probably go to the Saturday class to make sure I get my two doses in for the week.

One thing that I have notice this week is that I haven't been consistently logging food in sparks which really makes a difference for me. I have just been going with the flow and even eating some items that I have given up like Chocolate. Goal for today and the rest of the week is to resist the stress eating and get back on the band wagon.

I am so close and I know that I can do this just need to buckle down and just do it!

I slipped a little over the weekend. Time to get back right on track, I felt a little sluggish today but I went ahead and went to my group power class. I am hoping to get back and be a little more active tonight with maybe a 2 mile run. I am now getting ready to prepare for the Eugene Marathon so I definitely need to get more running in. Now it is just deciding on which training program that I can use that work with my schedule with work and the girls.

This is my proposed workout schedule for the week of Feb 9 – Feb 15:

Monday – AM workout group power

Tuesday – AM Easy Run

Wednesday – AM group power.

Thursday – Tempo Run

Friday – Group ride – upper body weights

Saturday – Group power 60 minutes

Sunday – 6 mile run outside

Definitely subject to change as week goes on.

Yes it is Friday! Group ride class on the workout agenda and it started at 5:30 this morning. I actually made it through but don't feel like it was my best workout. I am hoping to get a run in this weekend as I need to finally see progress. My eating hasn't been right for the last couple of days just to busy running the kids around and trying to get the house together. I start my half marathon training for Eugene half next week. I need to find three other races that I would like to participate in before the year is out as my goal was to run at least four this year. For sure without traveling I can do the Eugene in May, Girlfriend half in Oct and Eweb in Nov. Where will the next one be? Maybe I will try a Portland event that is flat in June or something.

Today was a very hard day to get up and out of the bed. I wanted to keep hitting the snooze on the alarm clock because I just didn't have it in me to get up after the clock went off the first time. I slowly moved around and got up to use the bathroom with every intention on getting back in the bed until I jumped on the scale and see that I am making progress.

Now I must stay focus and consistent to reach my goal which is about 5 pounds away. I am excited to be so close that this week. I just need to push through it and resist the bad food choice to reach success.

Goal was to do 60 minutes of group power. Task has been completed. Try to do Jillian 30 day shred dvd today or intervals of cardio and weights to boost the metabolism.

Today I was off to a good start despite moving into a new place I did not let that ruin my workout routine. I was able to get up and keep moving. I got up and did an interval run on the treadmill warm – up was 4.5 speed for 5 minutes followed by a various speeds ranging from 6.0 to 7.5. I stayed on the treadmill for about 40. Once that was completed, I did a cool down for 5 minutes.

I am serious thinking about getting back out for a run this evening. We have had gorgeous weather in the evenings, sun is still shining and it is light enough to get a quick run in but maybe not since my daughter has a basketball game. I will definitely try to do something before I go to bed tonight.

This is my plan for the week:

Monday - Group power 60 mins

Tuesday – Interval run 40 mins

Wednesday - 20 min easy run before 60 group power class

Thursday – Upbeat run 5 miles

Friday – Group ride class 60 mins
