Another new month and another new goal, I have been so busy with the girls in February that I have almost been slacking on my half marathon training. Good thing I am following the runners world smart goal plan and I seemed to be right on track, my running will pick back up to four days a week after this week.
Today, I have also been reflecting on my goals and accomplishment. Back in October 2006, my husband was station to go to GA when he got there he found out he would be to Afghanistan at that point I made it a goal not to sit around and get depress and fat. I always workout but my eating was horrible. I changed that I decided to eat for life and with that and the daily exercise I realized that was the key to lose weight. April 2007 was when I notice that the 40 pounds were off and I am proud to say that they haven't came back. Hooray for me! This is one of those accomplishments that I treasure the most because I made up my mind to do it and I did, I feel so much better about myself.
This is definitely a lifestyle change and I stuck with it. I want to live to see my girls graduate from college and get married. I want to be physically fit for them to be proud of me and to be their role model. I can see that they do value what I am doing and sometimes even join me when I do workouts at home. I just hope my new found habits will rub off on them because my husband and my girls me everything to me and I will do every in my power to keep them healthy while they are living on this earth!
